May the 4th Be With You

A long time ago... in a desert town far, far away, I grew up wielding light sabers (they had them at K-Mart) and cutting holes in my mom's sheets so I could dress up like Princess Leia. Spookie, my best bud black cat, reluctantly filled the furry slippers of a Wookie.

I'll always be glad my dad was a sci-fi nut and took our family to the drive-in to see Star Wars the Summer of '77. At $2 a car, we came back nearly every weekend and saw this movie so much I could quote it. I even got the record and jammies that Christmas:

So Star Wars Day is a big deal for me, because it calls to the big kid in me who'll never stop believing in The Force and that good can triumph over evil.

May The Force be with you. Always.
